What the tool tests
CleanMyPhoto uses the exifr parser for supported image metadata and an in-browser parser for recognised QuickTime / ISO Base Media File Format structures. The cleaner’s claims are deliberately limited to fields and containers it handles.
How to verify a sensitive file
Scan the original, create a cleaned copy, then scan the downloaded copy before sharing. A scan reports supported detected fields, not a guarantee that every proprietary metadata structure or visible clue is absent. This site does not publish fabricated test statistics or claim platform behavior that has not been verified for the exact workflow.
Limits
Browser decode support varies, especially for HEIC/HEIF. Platform sharing behavior changes and should be verified in the relevant app. C2PA verification is outside this tool’s scope.
